Tonight Tim, Jerry and I were joined by Steve O'Neil and Dan Haesler. Steve shared with us some practical skills building in Adobe Audition, where he demonstrated some simple and effective manipulations that can really make sound pop!

Dan shared his thoughts on self-determination and the truly meaningful impact it can have on learning - particularly peer-to-peer learning. He shared a touching anecdote about how student attitudes can completely change when you given them the opportunity and room to explore their skills with others, and place them in the driver seat rather than dictating their experience to them. 

Tonight Tim, Jerry and I were joined by Lauren Sayer, Brett Salakas, Claire Hackett and Tanya Marriott - each serving their own kind of inspirational brain and soul food for the lifelong learner. 

I learned tonight that:

• I still get excited by other people sharing something they find exciting (Lauren Sayer)
• The breadth and depth of creativity, meaning and engagement that can be generated when creatives reach out through projects and competitions (Tanya Marriott & Claire Hackett)
• How wonderfully engaging passionately delivered poetry can be (Brett Salakas).
