The sound of learning and self-determination - Inject Creativity Live 19th May 2021

Tonight Tim, Jerry and I were joined by Steve O'Neil and Dan Haesler. Steve shared with us some practical skills building in Adobe Audition, where he demonstrated some simple and effective manipulations that can really make sound pop!

Dan shared his thoughts on self-determination and the truly meaningful impact it can have on learning - particularly peer-to-peer learning. He shared a touching anecdote about how student attitudes can completely change when you given them the opportunity and room to explore their skills with others, and place them in the driver seat rather than dictating their experience to them. 

I learned tonight that:

• I really need to start working in Adobe Audition to discover the full range of creative potential - even it if is it to remix some of the hilarious dog-chatter that my dog and his best friend make during their doggy-play-dates (thanks Steve!)
• Some of the best learning experiences are learner-led
• Remembering that everyone can't change the world, but anyone can change someone's world (thanks Dan!)
