Inject Creativity Live with Tim Kitchen - Wednesday 1st July, 2020

In this week's edition of Inject Creativity Live, Tim and I were joined once again by Jerry Wong as our moderator, and Michelle Dennis from Strathcona Girls Grammar in Melbourne (@michelledennis on Twitter).
We all had a fabulous chat about her school, and she went into some detail about her work in the #whatisschool movement, and her invitation to join Craig Kemp from across the Tasman in this space. For more information, check out his website and blog here:

We also discussed the unexpected digital professional development engagement that came out of the necessities of COVID-19.
Tim also has a personal and career connection with Strathcona - he taught there for over a decade, and the multimedia production space at the school was his proposal and brainchild.
During the Deeper Dive, Michelle presented the full version of the presentation from the Chat Show.
Tim introduced the new Adobe Education Leaders for 2020-2021 - which includes ME! Have to say, I am pretty chuffed!

Every new AEL got some time to shine during this event, introduce themselves, and talk about why they are excited to be a part of the AEL community.
Unfortunately for me, our celebrations went a little long, which only left me 6 minutes to deliver my 20 minute skillshare that I had prepped for Adobe Spark Video, production scaffolding into Adobe Premiere Rush, and how to embed videos into an LMS.
I presented a cut-down version of the first little part of my presentation, and am re-booked to do a 'Part 2' on the 15th of July.
As disappointed as I was not to get to do my full presentation, I think it also provides an opportunity to reflect on the content, and design it for both full session delivery, and for a 'bitesize' presentation if we run a little over again on the 15th. No harm, no foul!
If you are interested in having a sneak peek at the full range of resources I created, the links are below. I fully plan on adding this as a lesson on the Adobe Education Exchange, but feel that it may benefit from a little polishing beforehand:

This week, I plan on dropping some teasers for one of the practical projects I have been working on - check out my socials for those. The full project description and multimedia suite will follow on this site, and a polished finished product for this from a creative, numeracy and practical perspective will be added to the Adobe Education Exchange.

Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to read this. I hope July is a safe and happy month for you - see you around!

Cheers,

Erin.

My day job includes designing, developing, writing, copy editing, creating and delivering training resources for staff and students (including video capture/editing and voice over/other post-production work for multi-modal resources). In my spare time, I like to take pretty pictures.
